We started Father’s Day with a ridiculous breakfast which I’ll be sharing soon. It involved three different forms of pig so protect your arteries until then. We then drove to Mahoney State Park for a picnic lunch and some fun in the sun.
We walked around the lake and my newly brave son had to check out the algae. He usually doesn’t like to get dirty or any of that nonsense. Bugs have also been a no-go in the past. Well, he’s turned a new leaf and has been picking up bugs and sticking his hands in gross lake water. I don’t want to do it, but I’m proud of him. He thought we all needed to feel what the algae felt like though. We thought it would be slimy but it wasn’t. Kind of disappointing.
And here’s daddy and his girl. She doesn’t like to be put down and her favorite way to ride around is on daddy’s shoulders (well, second to me holding her, she’s a mama’s girl for sure).
Moments like these melt my heart. Our life is crazy but I love it.
