Soo, the only pictures I took on my actual camera this week were for future posts so I don’t have a whole lot to share this week. Womp womp. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed to see what I could share from my phone and it was more food. I’ve been taking a lot more pictures of the process of creating a recipe lately rather than just the final product and just food I’m eating in general. I hope those of you that follow me there are enjoying that. I figure if you’re reading a food blog, those are things you probably want to see.
Since I don’t have anything family related I’m sharing some of my favorite food from the last week or so.
I made these Peanut Butter Caramel Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars for Labor Day and they were ridiculous. Joel had been dropping hints about trying them for weeks so I figured a big family gathering was the best opportunity. They were incredibly rich so a little goes a long way. Everybody loved them.
My parents took the kids to the zoo on Saturday and Joel had to go into work so I had the day to myself. That meant sleeping in, Starbucks, prop shopping and some recipe development. Love that I can call baking cookies my “job.”
And this was the result of my free time. Recipe coming in October.
The beginnings of another recipe I will be sharing soon.
