Photo Friday {Ireland Favorites}

Today I’m sharing all my favorite photos from Ireland. We arrived late at night then spent our first full day exploring Dublin. It is a gorgeous, bustling city filled with so much history. One little piece of advice for you though, avoid driving in the city. I read this before going but we had a car since we were exploring many parts of Ireland so we drove anyway and it was total madness. The roads are marked better than in London but it’s still very confusing and so congested. While we explored the city, we walked but getting in and out was hectic. Thank you GPS.

Also, I apologize in advance for the overload of photos. It was hard to narrow down my favorites out of the thousands I took. Those that have been around for awhile know Photo Friday’s aren’t usually this long.

I just loved the look of this place. It reminded me of New Orleans.

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge

I am terrified of heights so the thought of crossing over that rope bridge had me in a bit of a panic. But we didn’t come all that way for me to wimp out so I did a little deep breathing as we waited for the impending doom. Then I may have talked to myself the whole way across as I clenched the sides and all but ran. The panic was totally worth it because look at these views. It was my favorite place of the whole trip. This world is a pretty amazing place.

I conquered my fear of heights AND broke the rules on this trip. I’m a total rebel. I stayed on the safe side and did not go near the edge so maybe not quite. Joel laid down, hung his head over the edge and gave me heart palpitations. I didn’t take a picture because I was busy begging him to stop and reminding him he had children that needed a father.
