We got home from San Diego Wednesday night after a busy but really fun trip. We traveled there to attend and celebrate one of my oldest friends wedding. It was one of those weddings where the love was just palpable and you could tell just how freaking happy they were. I’m so glad we were able to travel and be there to witness it all. Noah was the ring bearer and he did an amazing job. And I mean, he was totally the cutest guy there. I didn’t get any photos of him walking down the aisle as I didn’t want to interfere with the professional photographers there so I’m hoping they got some cute shots of him!
We decided to make the trip into our family vacation for the summer so we stayed for almost a week to take in the sights and play at the beach. We also ate a ton of delicious food so watch out for a San Diego food post sometime in the next few weeks. For now, here’s some family photos and scenic shots of our favorite activities from our trip.
Children’s Pool Beach
We got to witness sea lions in their natural habitat so that was pretty darn cool. Oh and we found out just how freezing the water is there. We knew it would be cold but that was just shocking. Swimming in San Diego = no bueno.
We checked out the pier after eating some amazing pizza. While we were walking, there was some crazy commotion from the fishermen so we went over to check it out and they had caught a shark and were trying to reel it in. Apparently it was of legal size (I didn’t even know you could keep sharks) but it broke their line and was free. They were bummed but I was glad he escaped. And in other news, Hannah has her mother’s fear of heights and walking over bridges where you can see through to the bottom. She’s only 2 so she couldn’t have learned it from me yet. Just saying.
Noah was an excellent ring bearer and the kids partied the night away. Witnessing Hannah’s dance moves in full force has me very worried for the teenage years. The girl can twerk and I swear she didn’t learn it at home!
San Diego Zoo
Sunset Cliffs Natural Park
These cliffs were amazing to see. We had to keep girlfriend strapped in the stroller since she has zero sense of danger. There was even a beach at the bottom (but we couldn’t figure out how to get down there).
