I missed you last week for Photo Friday but I’m back this week with fun photos from our weekend, Noah’s adorable new smile, books and our upcoming mini vacation.

I cleaned out my pantry guys. It had been way too long since the last time and it is ridiculous how amazing it looks. Sometimes I just open it and stare. And is it weird that I kind of enjoyed it. Organization makes me feel so happy and peaceful.
While we’re on the topic of cleaning, I am obsessed with my new steam mop. Mopping has always been one of the chores I loathe most. Dragging the nasty bucket of water around, waiting forever for the floors to dry (just for someone – cat or human – to walk through the almost dry floor) and it always seems to take forever. But this steam mop is life changing and I seriously love using it. I like my house to be clean but I don’t love the process so don’t think I’m one of those weirdos that lives for cleaning. It’s crazy fast, doesn’t use nasty chemicals and dries in seconds. Guys, this isn’t sponsored and Bissell has no idea who I am, I just love this mop so much and thought you should know about it. Ok, I’m done with the love letter to the mop.
Noah had three front teeth pulled last week because he had a huge permanent tooth coming through his gums. He was so brave and that new smile of his melts hearts.
The weather was gorgeous last weekend so we spent a lot of time outside. My in-laws were in town so Hannah had a blast walking (pulling?) their dog around the yard. I think she was happy to go home by the end of the weekend.
Noah and I had been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and after we were done reading, we all watched the movie together. It was so fun to do together and have a fun reward after we were done with the book. It was cool that he could pick out the differences and details left out from the book and that he knew what was coming next. As anyone who has been a reader for awhile, you know Noah is a chocolate lover so that made it even more fun. We watched the Johnny Depp version since that was available on Netflix but we just bought the original and are going to watch on the drive to St. Louis today. We even found a chocolate factory in St. Louis that we are going to tour. He doesn’t know about it yet so that will be a fun surprise.
We’re reading James and the Giant Peach now and will watch the movie after. He’s been reading some of it on his own in the morning when he wakes up because he so excited to see what happens next. His blossoming love of reading makes my heart so very happy and it’s something I absolutely love doing with him. What chapter books have your kids loved reading together?
That’s all I’ve got for you guys this Photo Friday. Have a great weekend!
