We had a busy week celebrating Noah’s 7th birthday and my 31st. That meant lots of fun, lots of cake and lots of late nights.
This weekend is going to be spent prepping for vacation (we leave early Tuesday morning!) and at a friends house for some outdoor game fun. I’m not big on competition and sporty things but it’ll be fun to get together with friends and let’s face it, for the food. I’m bringing our pasta salad of the summer and a fruit pizza. Watch out for an update to the fruit pizza post coming soon.
I’ll start with Noah’s birthday party day. We started off with family at our house to open presents and destroy a pinata. Apparently it’s no longer a party without a pinata. He was pretty pumped about his snow cone maker.
Then we headed to Defy Gravity, one of those indoor trampoline park places. It was our best party experience yet. They made it so easy and I got to just enjoy the party.
You see this cake? It’s coming next week so keep an eye out for it!
My birthday was Tuesday and I spent the day with the kids, my mom and my brother. Then the whole family went out to dinner then came home for presents and cake.
Noah’s actual birthday was Wednesday and that boy had the whole day planned out. Donuts for breakfast, Five Guys for lunch (hello National Hot Dog Day) and pizza for dinner. We spent the afternoon swimming then opened presents and had cake after dinner.
He’s been wanting a tent and was kind of bummed since he thought the boxes couldn’t possibly be big enough for a tent. You can see on his face that he was pretty excited when it turned out to be one. He of course wanted to camp in the backyard that night but it was 100 degrees so we opted for a basement camp out and movie night. It was a great day celebrating our favorite boy.
Hope you all have a great weekend! I’m hoping to get some posts written and scheduled for next week but we’ll see how far I get. Be sure to follow my Instagram stories to keep up with our vacation.
