Indgredients for Iced Mocha

The ingredient list couldn’t get easier for this iced mocha recipe. You’ll need:

  • Coffee
  • Milk
  • Chocolate syrup or chocolate chips

There are a few options for the coffee. You can brew a pot or a cup using a single serve machine. This can be done the night before so you have it refrigerated and ready to go in the morning.

Or if you’re brewing and using right away, brew it a little stronger than you normally would and add extra ice to your glass. When you pour the hot coffee over the ice it will get watered down a bit as the hot coffee melts the extra ice.

Or you can buy premade black iced coffee or cold brew. My favorite cold brew that I always have on hand is Stok. This isn’t sponsored, I just love it and drink it daily.

Use whatever milk you prefer and what you would order at a coffee shop. We always have 2% on hand so that’s what I used.

How to Make Iced Mochas

I have two different but super simple methods for making your iced mocha, depending on what ingredient you have at home.

If you have chocolate syrup, simply mix it with your milk and coffee then top with ice and drink away.

If you don’t have chocolate syrup, no worries because mochas we will still drink. The chocolate chip method takes an extra step but only adds a few minutes to the process.

Add the milk and chocolate chips to a small saucepan. Over medium-low heat, stir until the chocolate is melted and well incorporated into the milk.

Stir the chocolatey milk into your coffee and top with lots of ice.

Make Ahead Batching Option

Can you make this ahead of time? Definitely. Make sure to keep in mind the expiration date of your milk.

You can even make a big batch so that you have mochas all week long. Simply store it in a pitcher or container with a lid then give it a good stir before pouring out a glass.

Make sure not to add the ice to your batch. Just add that in when you pour your individual serving.
