Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable or canola oil
  • 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tps. grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds, divided

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add oil. Once glistening, add green beans and saute for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until charred and softened.
  • Meanwhile, in a bowl whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, sesame oil and 1 teaspoon sesame seeds. Lower the heat to medium-low and add the sauce to the skillet. Stirring constantly, simmer green beans for 2 minutes, until the sauce is slightly thickened and the green beans are coated. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds before serving.
