Bring on the light, refreshing summery food. Coleslaw is one of the first things I think of when I have summertime on my mind. It’s so crisp and cool.
This fun new spin on classic coleslaw is officially my favorite and will grace our table for months to come.
Ingredients for Dill Pickle Coleslaw
The ingredient list is pretty short for this dill coleslaw. Here’s what you will need:
All the Pickle Flavor
There is a triple hit of pickle flavor in this colelsaw. There is chopped pickles in the slaw mix and pickle juice and fresh dill in the dressing.
All my pickle lovers out there will totally adore this recipe.
How to Make Dill Pickle Coleslaw
This slaw couldn’t get easier to prepare. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayo, pickle juice, sugar and fresh dill.
Add coleslaw mix and chopped pickle to the bowl and toss to combine. Now you’re good to go. That’s it!
It’s best served right away so keep that in mind. As it sits, the water in the cabbage will start to release and make the dressing a little watery.
It will still be good for up to three days in the refrigerator.
Favorite Ways to Serve
There are so many delicious ways to enjoy this coleslaw. My favorite way is on top of bbq pulled pork sandwiches or atop a KC bbq dog.
It’s a great side dish to burgers and grilled chicken too.
