Ingredients for Orange Cranberry Rolls

You’ll need a handful of ingredients to make these delicious orange cranberry rolls. Here’s what you’re going to need:

Rhodes bread dough: Head to the freezer section of your grocery store and grab a package of Rhodes bread dough loaves. You’ll need one for this recipe. Using premade bread dough makes these rolls come together SO much faster and it’s just as delicious as homemade.

Oranges: We’re using the zest in the filling and the frosting so you’ll need two oranges for this recipe.

Dried cranberries: The cranberries will also be used in both the filling and as a garnish over the frosted orange rolls. They add a delicious sweet and tart bite.

Granulated sugar

Butter

Cream cheese: Make sure it’s at room temperature for best results when making the frosting.

White chocolate chips: These will be used in the frosting. Melt the white chocolate chips and allow them to cool to room temperature before using in the cream cheese frosting.

Powdered sugar

Salt

Vanilla extract

Thaw the Rhodes Bread Dough and Form the Cranberry Rolls

Start by thawing a loaf of Rhodes bread dough. You can either thaw it at room temperature or in the refrigerator overnight. Follow the package directions for your preferred method.

Once the dough is thawed, roll it out on a floured surface to approximately a 12 inch x 18 inch rectangle. Then brush with melted butter.

Combine the granulated sugar and the zest of one orange in a bowl. Grab bits of the sugar and zest with your fingertips and massage to release the oils from the zest. Once mixed well, sprinkle over the melted butter.

Sprinkle some dried cranberries over the sugar and roll the long edge up tightly until you have a long log. Cut in half. Then cut each half in half. Then cut each of those into thirds so you end up with 12 equal size rolls.

Place in a greased 13×9 pan and bake.

Bake the Rolls and Make the Frosting

While the orange cranberry rolls are baking, make the cream cheese frosting. You’ll need to start with melting the white chocolate chips.

Add white chocolate to a microwave safe bowl. Melt in 30 second increments, stirring each time. Once melted, set aside and allow to cool to room temperature. It’s important not to use it when it’s too hot as it could melt the frosting which would result in a weird consistency.

Cream together the softened cream cheese and butter. Add room temperature melted white chocolate. Once it’s combined, add powdered sugar, salt, vanilla and orange zest. Set aside until the rolls have cooled then spread with the frosting.
